Instructions for vaccinating students over 18

The Ministry of Education has directed students aged 18 and above to take the Covid-19 vaccination.
This information was given in the order signed by Md. Nazrul Islam, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Education, on Monday.
The order said teachers, staff and students of all educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education were asked to take responsibility for taking the vaccine jab and motivate others to take the vaccine to tackle the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.
The order requested the chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the director general of the c and the chairman of all education boards to implement the directive.
The instructions say –
1. The head of the educational institution will motivate the teachers, officers and employees of all the institutions and the students above the age of 18 to take their respective vaccines as per the instructions of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
2. Heads of departments, districts, upazila level offices, agencies and institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will motivate the teachers, officers-employees and students of the educational institutions under their respective departments to get vaccinated.
3. Teachers will encourage students and their family members in online/virtual classes to take the vaccine including following the hygiene rules to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
4. All departments, officers and employees of the organization and teachers, officers and employees will cooperate with the local administration to motivate the people to get vaccinated.
