Inspector Liaquat taken to court for confessional statement

Inspector Liaquat Ali, the prime accused in the murder case of retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan, has been taken to court.
He will make the deposition at court under section 164.
He was brought to the Cox’s Bazar court at 11:45 am on Sunday.
Liaquat is going to give a confessional statement while being remanded for three days in the third phase of the Maj (retd) Sinha murder case.
Earlier, three members of the APBn had given a confessional statement under section 164 in court. They are - SI Md. Shahjahan, Constable. Rajib and Md. Abdullah.
Teknaf Police Station OC Pradeep Kumar Das and SI Nandadulal, who were sacked in the same case, are in remand. Last Friday, in the third phase, they were remanded for three days by the investigating agency RAB.
Sinha, a former army officer, was shot dead by police at the Shamlapur check post on the night of July 31 on his way back to the Nilima Resort in Himchhari, Cox's Bazar, on Marine Drive, recording video footage of the Marishbunia hill in Teknaf. At that time, the police arrested Shahedul Islam Sifat who was with Sinha. Shipra Debnath was later arrested from Nilima Resort. Both were later released on bail.
