Four Visa Centers are opened in Cumilla, Brahmanbaria, Noakhali and Satkhira to facilitate Bangladeshi visa applicants.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has said that these Visa Centers are opened on Saturday.

Earlier on January 6, two Visa Centers were started in Thakurgaon and Bogura.

There were nine Indian Visa Application Centers in different places in Bangladesh. And with these new six centers, the total of centers is now 15.

Earlier this year, the government of India announced to introduce Visa Centers in six more districts. State Bank of India is supporting this work in Bangladesh.

According to the information available in the High Commission, these Visa Centers are being started to meet Indian visa requirements and to make it available to citizens living in the marginal and remote areas of Bangladesh.

This initiative has been taken to strengthen the Indian visa application process in Bangladesh and to strengthen the relations between India and Bangladesh.
