The Indian Army has admitted the illegal killing of innocent Kashmiris. In Indian-administered Kashmir, the country's military has long been accused of unjustly torturing and killing locals. However, it is rare for people to admit to killing innocent Kashmiris through abuse of power or drama. However, Indian forces have acknowledged abuse of power during the killing of three Kashmiri workers in a coronavirus lockdown last July, news Al Jazeera.
A spokesman for the Indian Army said on Friday that it had killed three unidentified "rebels" in the village of Amshipora in Shopian on July 18. Now the investigation has revealed that they were residents of Rajouri district, whose families had alleged that they had been killed in an arranged gunfight.
