Indian External Affairs Minister in Dhaka

Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen welcomed India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. Jay Shankar at BAF Bangabandhu Air Base on Thursday
Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Jay Shankar arrived in Dhaka for a day trip.
He reached BAF Bangabandhu Air Base at 10:00 am on Thursday. Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen welcomed him at the time.
After the arrival, Dr. Jay Shankar sat in a meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Dr. AK Abdul Momen regarding the upcoming visit of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on March 26 to join the celebration of Bangladesh’s 50th anniversary of independence and 50 years of Bangladesh-India diplomatic relations. During his visit, Modi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
It is to be mentioned that a virtual meeting between the two Prime Ministers was held on December 17, 2020.
