Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has sent a letter to the country’s Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri DV Sadanand Gowda in this regard.
The Chief Minister himself shared the information on Twitter on Sunday.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said Remdesivir was needed to save COVID patients. Jharkhand is currently in a great crisis of Remdesivir. This drug is not available from any company in India. For this, he wanted to buy this from Bangladesh’s pharma company Beximco at $10 lakh.
It is to be mentioned that like other states in India, Jharkhand has also witnessed an increase in pandemic COVID infections. About 1.60 people have been infected in this state and 1406 of them died from the virus.
