India records 2.17 lakh fresh COVID-19 cases in 24hrs

India ranks third in the list of countries most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of cases and deaths in the country is increasing at an alarming rate every day.
In the last 24 hours, 217,353 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country – which is by far the highest record of infection. With this, the tally of infections in India stood at 1,42,91,914.
On Thursday, the daily Covid-19 cases crossed 2 lakhs for the first time.

The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than a thousand people daily in the country for three days in a row. In the last 24 hours, 1,165 Covid-19 patients have died in India. With this, a total of 174,308 people in the country lost their lives from the virus.
The number of Covid-19 patients in India has also increased due to the increase in daily infections. Now the number of active virus patients in the country is 15,69,743.
As the number of patients has increased, there has been a crisis in medical services in hospitals and health centers. More than one patient has to stay in the same bed! Some of them are getting treatment in the “hospital chair” without getting a bed.
