India need only 49 runs; England all-out for 81 runs

Hosts India has got an easy target to win the third Test of the four-match series. They wrapped England’s batting line-up by just 81 runs in the 2nd innings. With a 33-run lead in the first innings, Virat Kohli needed just 49 runs to win the match.
England was bowled out for 112 in the 1st innings of the day-night match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In reply, India started the 2nd day with 99 runs after losing three wickets. Rahane was dismissed after adding 15 runs to the team’s scoreboard. After that, the Indian batsmen joined the “in and out” procession.
In a short time from 114 runs for 3 wickets, India’s score stood at 125 for 6! In the end, the hosts were bowled out for 145 runs. Rohit Sharma has scored the highest 66 runs for India. The second highest 27 runs came from Kohli’s bat.
India could not find any answer to the bowling of spinner Jack Leach and part-timer Joe Root. Joe Root has taken 5 wickets alone. Leach also took 4 wickets. Jofra Archer took the other wicket.
Batting from 33 runs behind, England lost 2 wickets in the first three balls of the innings. In the end, they could not overcome this push. Ben Stokes scored the highest 25 runs for the team. Root 19 and Ollie Pope scored 12 runs.
Axar Patel took 5 wickets for India and Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets. Washington Sundar also took a wicket.
