India logs another 4,157 COVID deaths in a day

Devastated India by the second wave of pandemic coronavirus has seen another 4,157 deaths and 2.8 lakh fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Ministry of Health, the Covid-19 tests conducted on 22,17,320 people in the last 24 hours and 2.8 lakh fresh recorded cases detected. Besides, 4,157 succumbed to the disease
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are at the top in COVID infection. The number of daily infections has come down a bit as the infection has come under control in most of the states of the country.
The outbreak has come down significantly in states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana
In Maharashtra, the number of infections has dropped below 25,000 in the last few days, however, 1,137 people have died in the state in the last 24 hours. Besides, 588 people died in Karnataka and At least 468 people have succumbed to the disease in Tamil Nadu.
These three states have the highest number of deaths. On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, 177 people have died in Kerala, 157 in Uttar Pradesh, 156 in Delhi, 157 in West Bengal, 105 in Rajasthan, 128 in Haryana, 104 in Bihar and 174 in Punjab.
