India expresses gratitude to Bangladesh for offering assistance

India has expressed gratitude to Bangladesh for offering medical assistance in the current coronavirus situation in India. Besides, the country has said that Bangladesh and India will fight the virus together.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka thanked Bangladesh in a tweet on Thursday.

The Indian High Commission said it thanked Dhaka for its solidarity with India and its offer of assistance in tackling the Covid-19. Friendly relations between Bangladesh and India will help the two countries deal with the coronavirus.

“Bangladesh has offered to send medicines and medical equipment to India on an emergency basis,” the foreign ministry said in a press release on Thursday, considering the dire situation in India. These include injectable anti-viral, oral anti-viral, 30,000 PPE kits and a few thousand zinc, calcium, vitamin C and other essential tablets.
