India experiences twin earthquakes after plane crash

An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude hit Odisha’s Gajapati and Ganjam districts of India on Saturday morning, National Centre for Seismology the country said.
People of the districts rushed out of their houses after experiencing the quake. However, no causalities or serious damage has been reported yet.
The earthquake struck in Gajapati district around 7:10 am on Saturday, an official at the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said.
“Its centre was located near to Paribheta and Tandiguda locations of Ganjam district, which is near to R Udaygiri area,” Indian met office said on its official Twitter post.
Earlier in the day, another medium-intensity earthquake of magnitude 3.5 jolted Sonitpur in Assam at around 5:26 am.
