India deploys 3,000 additional troops on Pakistan border

India has deployed over 3,000 additional troops in the Kashmir border to prevent infiltration attempts by Pakistan-backed terror organizations, reports India Today on Saturday quoting official sources.
Sources said the army has recently been able to thwart attempts by terrorists in the Garage sector of Kashmir. Additional troops will be able to stop almost all infiltration attempts by terrorists at the border.
Pakistan has deployed additional troops in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, sources added. However, it is not clear whether the troops were deployed as part of increased pressure on India to support China.
Indian Army Chief MM Naravane recently visited Srinagar, Kashmir. He also observes the situation in the Kashmir region of the Line of Control. At that time, the army officials informed him about the security situation. After that additional troops were deployed on the Pakistan border.
