Ganajagaran Mancha spokesman Imran H  Sarkar's nomination papers have been rejected. He brought nomination form from Kurigram-4 constituency as an independent candidate for the 11th National Parliamentary election.

District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sultana Parvin rejected his nomination papers on Sunday.

It is learned that to be candidate in the election, there is a minimum support of one percent of the total voters of the constituency seats. Imran, who is hoping to be nominated as an independent candidate, has a shortage of information. Therefore, the District Returning Officer declared his nomination papers cancelled.

On this, Imran said that the nomination of some independent candidates including me have been cancelled to make the election process complex. I will appeal against this decision.

At least 12 political activists including BNP leader Amamnullah Aman have been cancelled as the Election Commission fixed today (December 2) for scrutiny of the documents.
