Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP was born under unusual circumstances. As a result, the party has lost public support and is on life support, death is just a matter of time now.
Prominent politicians say that if we look at the political history, we can see that the political parties which were born abnormally, at one stage they have been lost.
They think that if a political party is formed in a normal way and if it has competent and visionary leadership then that political party survives. If the people support it, it can go to state power one day. And the party formed in an undemocratic way goes destroyed at one time.
Therefore, due to the unusual formation of the BNP and the incompetent and corrupt leadership, the party has fallen out of favor with the people of the country.
Political analysts believe that the BNP is now in the dark about its political future due to its isolation. The party is in an image crisis at home and abroad due to corruption and terrorism. Moreover, the party leaders and workers do not like BNP leader Tarique Zia and the leaders and workers do not have confidence in him. Therefore, Tarique Zia did not get any response from the leaders and activists even after repeatedly calling for movement and struggle. In order to get out of life support, the first task of the BNP now will be to change the core leadership of the party and overcome the image crisis.
Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak said in a program that the main leaders of the party are obsessed with corruption and the people of the country do not want them. The main leadership of the BNP is involved in corruption. As a result, they are now in a political crisis. Without politics for the people, they will never be able to take the party forward.
People do not support the BNP movement. The issue of their movement has become obsolete. Even if they call for movement, the people will not respond now.
In a survey, the opinions of people of different classes and professions have been taken apart from the young and old politicians of the BNP. But the survey found that more than half of the people are not satisfied with Tarique Rahman.
According to them, the disaster of the party is due to Tarique Rahman. They did not take well to leave the leadership of the party in the hands of Tareque. According to them, the party would have been more energetic if a senior leader had been appointed as the chairman of the party council. In the last election. Many have expressed anger over the addition of Kamal.
Eight percent of those polled said that if the BNP had participated in all the previous elections, the party would not have suffered such a catastrophe. The party would have had a respectable position in the opposition seats in the Jatiya Sangsad. Moreover, the people of the country are losing confidence in the BNP because it is corrupt.
Over the past decade, the Jamaat-e-Islami, its extremist ally with the BNP, and the student organization Islami Chhatrashibir have combined to create a terrible political culture. Violent and deadly attacks on civilians and law enforcement on the streets in the name of protest, intentional attacks on religious minorities and arson in their homes, killing of political opponents, etc.
In all these activities, they often use violent extremist organizations like Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh-JMB and Harkatul Jihad.
Since 2013, thousands of people have been endangered by petrol bombs and cocktail attacks on passengers of various public transports - buses, trucks, autorickshaws, easy bikes. And because of these activities, BNP has lost the support of the people of the country today.
