ICC introduces new rule on substitute player

New rules are coming to cricket. ICC introduced new rule of replacement, Player who injured on head could be replaced by another one.

The implementation of these rules will start from upcoming Ashes which will start on August 1. The ICC has passed the rule at the annual conference in London. Besides, the rules of slow over rates have also been changed.

The rule will be implemented in all international and first-class cricket matches. Before passing the rule, ICC trialed it in domestic cricket for last two years. 

Australian cricketer Philippe Huge passed away for head injury in 2014. Since then, the issue of the injured player replacement is highly demanded. With the permission of ICC, Cricket Australia provide a substitute for head injury in their domestic cricket from 2016-17.
