Hungary, Bolivia seeks vaccine from Bangladesh

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam today said Hungary, a member of the European Union (EU), has sought 5000 Covid-19 vaccines from Bangladesh. Besides, Bolivia, a South American country, has also sought the vaccine.
Md. Shahriar Alam said this while participating in the motion of thanks’ discussion on President M Abdul Hamid’s speech on Sunday in the Jatiya Sangsad in the capital on Sunday.
During the discussion, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said, “We will give from the stock we have. The Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health will decide on Bolivia’s request.”
Calling for action against those who spread rumors about vaccines, Md. Shahriar Alam said there is a provision to take action against those who spread rumors. “I am appealing to the Home Minister to enforce this provision against the BNP-Jamaat leaders circulating rumors about the vaccine,” he added.
