Ayesha Siddique Minni, who was sentenced to death in the Rifat Sharif murder case in Barguna, is now in the condemned cell of Barguna District Jail. The other five convicts sentenced to death in the case are also there. However, Minni has been kept in the women's unit of the condemned cell.

How did Minni spend the first night in the condemned cell? Jail Superintendent of Barguna District Jail Anwar Hossain said to media.

He said the first night was a great disappointment for Minni. She couldn't sleep at night at all. She could not believe her own death sentence. All the six convicts, including Minni, who were sentenced to death in the Rifat Sharif murder case, are mentally disturbed.

The jail superintendent said the inmates would never be able to get out of the cell. Once a month they will be able to meet relatives. Also once a week they will be able to talk on the phone with their relatives up to a certain time.

He added that according to the jail rules, all the six prisoners were given plates, bowls and blankets in the condemned cell. Besides, each accused has been given two sets of clothes by the jail. They have to wear those costumes.
