Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today inaugurated another new police station named 'Eidgaon Thana' in Cox's Bazar to ensure security of life and property of the people and to maintain law and order. With this, the number of police stations in Cox's Bazar district stood at nine.
On Wednesday afternoon, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan arrived at the Cox's Bazar headquarters as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the Eidgaon police station.
It is learned that Eidgaon police station was earlier an Eidgaon investigation center. Locals have been waiting for a long time for the investigation center to be upgraded to a police station. The long-standing expectations of the people of the five unions of the area have been fulfilled with the commencement of activities as a full-fledged police station of the investigation center today.
Cox's Bazar Sadar MP Saimum Sarwar Kamal, IGP Benazir Ahmed, Chattogram Range DIG Anwar Hossain, Cox's Bazar District Superintendent of Police Hasanuzzaman, and local dignitaries were present.
