Ramadan has come again with the message of mercy, blessings and salvation. In the month of fasting, the Great Allah has revealed the Holy Quran. For this, this month is very important for the Muslim Ummah.
Due to the Ramadan moon sighting in the sky of the country on Tuesday evening, the Muslim pilgrims are fasting from Wednesday.
On this day, the worshipers have performed Taraweeh after the Isha prayers, however, Taraweeh prayers were performed mostly at houses instead of mosques due to “weeklong strict lockdown”.
The formality of Ramadan started with eating Sehri on the last night.
The National Moon Sighting Committee said the moon of the Holy Ramadan was seen on Tuesday. As a result, the month-long fasting is starting on Wednesday.
Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. This is an obligatory act of worship for every Muslim. In the Holy Qur’an, the Great Allah Ta’ala says about Ramadan: “O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful of Allah.” (Surah Al-Baqarah - 2:183).
