Hefazat leader Nasir Uddin on 6-day remand

A local court today granted a six-day remand to Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir, former joint secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam and former vice chairman of Hathazari Upazila Parishad.

Chattogram Senior Judicial Magistrate Shahriar Iqbal's court granted the remand at around 2pm on Wednesday.

Chattogram District Court Inspector Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter to Daily Bangladesh. Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir was produced before the Chattogram Senior Judicial Magistrate court with 10 days remand prayer in a case filed with Hathazari police station over sabotage. After the hearing, the court granted him 6 days remand. Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir has been shown arrest in two new cases of sabotage at Hathazari police station.

Earlier, police arrested Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir from Hathazari on Monday afternoon.
