Chanchal Chowdhury has proved his acting prowess through stage, television and big screen. Not only that, but Chanchal has also captivated the audience by singing in his voice. Today is the birthday of this popular actor. He was born on June 1, 1984.
Chanchal was born in Kamarhat village of Sujanagar Upazila of Pabna district. He grew up there. After completing HSC from Rajbari Government College, he was admitted to Dhaka University in Fine Arts. From an early age he had a penchant for music, recitation, and drama. Later interest in theater was created.
In 1996, Chanchal joined Mamunur Rashid's Aranyak Natyadal. This is the beginning of his acting life. His first play was Aranyak Natyadal's 'Kalo Daitya'. Later he acted in many plays including 'Sankranti', 'Rarhang', and 'Shatrugan'.
He made his debut in television in 2000 through the play 'Grass' directed by Faridur Rahman. In a short time, he gained a reputation as a skilled actor. Chanchal became known to the audience with Mostafa Sarwar Faruqi's drama 'Tal Patar Sepai'.
Chanchal made her big-screen debut in 2006 with the movie 'Rupkathar Galpa' directed by Taukir Ahmed. In 2009, he acted in the movie 'Monpura' directed by Gias Uddin Selim. He won the National Film Award for his performance in this movie. The following year, he garnered acclaim by starring in the Gautam Ghosh-directed Bangladesh-India co-production Moner Manush.
In 2016, Chanchal won the National Film Award for the second time as the best actor by playing the role of Shafayet Karim Aina in the movie 'Ainabaji'. 'Television' and 'Devi' are some of the famous movies of this actor.
