Hanging body of AL leader recovered

Police recovered the hanging body of Awami League leader Abul Kalam Azad on Thursday morning in Natore.

The body was recovered from a tree of the Italian Government Primary School area. He is the co-editor of Itali UP Awami League and son of Abul Kashem of the upazila.

Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam said, “Abul Kalam Azad returned to the house with the Sabuj Pramanik from Itali Bazar on Wednesday night. Later, He the house early in the morning. Locals found his body on the tree in the morning and informed the police.” 

“The body was recovered and sent to Natore Hospital morgue for autopsy. After the autopsy report, the next steps will be taken,” the OC added.

Itali Union Awami League General Secretary Deder Hayat said, “Abul Kalam Azad's death is not acceptable. They demanded strict punishment for those involved.”
