The results of the 2020 Higher Secondary and equivalent examinations may publish in a few days. The Prime Minister’s consent has been sought to publish the results on Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Education, the President’s ordinance has to be issued to publish the results without examination. The ordinance may be issued on January 5 or 6 this week. The results will be officially published later.
The education boards’ sources said the results are almost being finalized. The matter of issuing the ordinance in this regard will be raised in the Cabinet meeting on Monday. Then the documents will be sent to the President from there. The President may issue an ordinance on 5 or 6 January. After that, there will be no obstacle in publishing HSC results. If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gives consent, the results may be published on Thursday.
About this, Professor Nehal Ahmed, Member Secretary of HSC Grade Evaluation Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Board of Education, said that the results of HSC and equivalent examinations are ready. However, it was not possible to publish as the ordinance was not issued.
“We hope the president will issue the ordinance next Wednesday,” he said, adding that there will be no obstacle in publishing the results after the issuance of the ordinance.
Earlier, in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, the Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that in order to publish the results in special circumstances, the President’s ordinance has to be issued as a legal process. The results will be released after the ordinance is issued.
