HSC pass rate increases 7.9 pc

The pass rate has increased by 7.9 percent in the country compared to last year in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations. And the number of students getting GPA-5 increased by 18,024.

Education Minister Dipu Moni has handed over the copy of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10:00 am. 

During the handover of the results, the Education Minister said, the pass rate of this year’s HSC examination stood at 73.93 percent and GPA-5 got 47,286. 9,88, 172 students have passed. 

“The pass rate in eight board is 71.85 percent and 41,180 students got GPA-5, the pass rate of the madrasa board is 88.65 percent and 2,583 students got GPA-5. The pass rate of the Technical Board is 82.66 percent and 3,206 students got GPA-5,” she informed.  

Education Minister handed over the copy of the results at Ganobhaban at 10:00 am on Wednesday. It is learned that the Education Minister will highlight different aspects of the results at the press conference at 12:30 pm.

There is a total of 13,51,505 students participated from eight general education boards, madrasa, and technical boards in this year’s HSC and its equivalent examinations which were held on April 1. Out of these eight general education boards, only 11,38,747 candidates were examined.
