The High Court has issued a full verdict ordering the removal of mobile towers from sensitive places where educational institutions, hospitals, playgrounds, and public gatherings are located.
On Thursday, Justice Syed Refat Ahmed and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir gave the verdict after signing the full order.
Writ lawyer Manzil Morshed Roy confirmed the matter.
On April 25, the High Court directed to remove the mobile towers within four months from areas where educational institutions, hospitals, playgrounds and public gatherings are located.
The BTRC has been asked to implement the directive. The court ruled that radiation emitted from cellphone company towers was harmful to health.
