HC summoned BSFA Chairman
For removal of 52 substandard food

The High Court has summoned the chairman of the Bangladesh Safe Food Authority (BSFA) for not remioving Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) tested 52 substandard food products from the market. He will have to appear before the court on June 16.
High Court bench comprising Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Rajik Al Jalil passed the order on Thursday.
The court told the lawyer of the safe food authority, “Do not think courtesy as weakness. Do you show ‘High Court’ the High Court with 52 products?”
At the time, High Court summoned the SFA chairman for not withdrawing the BSTI tested 52 substandard product from the market, and also issued a rule accusing defame the court against the chairman.
At the same time, the ‘Bhukta Odhikar’ (Customer rights unity) have been directed to erase all the low-quality commodities in the next two days.
