HC rejects writ cancellation of medical admission test results

The High Court today has rejected the writ petition seeking directions to prepare a new merit list by canceling the results of the MBBS admission test for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The virtual High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Sardar Md. Rashed Jahangir passed the order on Thursday.
Barrister Mohammad Humayun Kabir Pallab appeared for the writ petition. Additional Attorney General Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury and Deputy Attorney General Bipul Bagmar represented the state.
On May 19, 324 candidates, including admission-seeker Ferdous Jahan Maria, filed the writ petition.
Earlier on April 4, the results of the MBBS first-year admission, 2021 academic year, test were released. 4,350 people were selected based on national merit for admission in 36 government medical colleges. 48,985 people who took part in the examination passed, which is 39.86% of the total candidates.
