The High Court today has directed to recruit the MPO-registered candidates by Non-Government Teachers’ Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA) in private educational institutions. The NTRCA chairman has asked to implement this instruction within 15 days. At the same time, the court asked to implement the High Court order regarding the appointment of registrants.
A High Court bench of Justice Mamnun Rahman and Justice Khizir Hayat passed the order on Monday.
Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan, Advocate Siddique Ullah Mia and Barrister Mohiuddin Hanif appeared for the petition.
The order was issued after hearing a “contempt of court” case for not implementing the verdict.
The lawyer said he has directed to recommend the appointment of several thousand petitioners to the MPO-registered private educational institutions.
Earlier on December 15, the High Court had banned the recruitment of teachers by NTRCA. The order states that they will not be able to give any notice for the appointment of any teacher until the matter of “contempt of court” is disposed of at this time.
A few days ago, the recruitment candidates have started a movement to start the recruitment process of private teachers which has been halted for a long time. On 14 February, they went on a symbolic hunger strike in front of the NTRCA office in the capital.
