Govt plans launch of Shikkha TV

The government is considering to launch Shikkha TV to carry out online classes for students. At this time of coronavirus infection classes are being broadcast on Sangsad TV and Bangladesh Betar.

According to the Ministry of Education, a committee has already been formed by convening BTV Director General SM Harun-ur-Rashid. The committee has been made a member of the committee of DGs of the Department of Primary Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), Department of Technical and Madrasa Education. The committee will make a proposal for introducing Shikkha TV. 

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Akram-al-Hussein said there was a need to launch Shikkha TV. For this, a meeting has been held under presided over by the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister. The Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education was also present at the meeting. 

The government will reach a decision on the basis of everyone's opinion.

Concerned people say that even though the teaching activities of the students are going on on the radio and television, many educational programs for the children will be broadcast in it. In addition, all kinds of educational activities from primary to university level will be broadcast through this TV. There will also be various educational discussion meetings.
