Govt officials must be at work on Eid

The government officials and employees should stay at the workplace on Eid-ul-Azha, informed Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, on Monday.
He added that the Eid-ul-Azha holiday would not be extended, meaning the holiday would last for three days.
According to the moon sighting of Zilhajj, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on July 31 or August 1. The government has prepared a list of 2020 holidays for Eid-ul-Azha on August 1 (Saturday).
Accordingly, July 31, August 1 and 2 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be Eid-ul-Azha holidays. In this case, two days will be a weekly holiday.
If Eid will be celebrated on July 31 (Friday), then holidays will be July 30, 31, and August 1 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). In this case, two days will also going to be a weekly holiday.
