In this critical situation of coronavirus outbreak in the country, the government is trying to balance the life and livelihood, said Ruling party Awami League’s General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
He made the remarks at an online press conference on contemporary issues at his official residence in the Parliament House area of the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
Obaidul Quader said the government is trying to balance the lives and livelihoods of the people by discussing skills and courage with the experience. There is no reason to be afraid of seeing dark tunnels. There is a light of hope at the end of the dark.
Calling on all to be patient, he said that social distance should be strictly adhered to and courage should be kept in mind. A Sheikh Hasina is by the side of this disaster; who is the guide in the dark with light in the hands.
Referring to the BNP at the time, the veteran Awami League leader said, the BNP's politics is to stay at a safe distance in any disaster. Their politics is now in isolation.
He also remarked that the BNP's strategy is to stifle the lives of the people in the name of lockdown as well as to create economic stagnation by cutting off their livelihood.
Mentioning that BNP is trying to confuse the people, Obaidul Quader said, what does Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir mean by lack of coordination? He is trying to confuse the people with clever words without making it clear.
