‘Govt in tough stand against crooks in coronavirus tests’

An unscrupulous clique has been taking the asylum of deception in various fields including coronavirus sample testing, certificate, plasma donation. The government is in a strict position against these frauds and irregularities, said Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, at a regular press briefing in his official residence in the capital on Wednesday.
He said, “We have to work as a public awareness fighter to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. Gatherings should be avoided, social distancing must be maintained in the buses, launch terminals, ferries, cattle markets in the interest of the family. Everyone should be aware that the journey to celebrate Eid with family should not turn into a grief journey.”
Obaidul Quader said that the government is in a strict position against those frauds and irregularities who has been taking asylum of deception during the country’s coronavirus crisis. “Such deception over human helplessness is nothing but a ruthless trade,” he added.
Congratulating those who are continuing the fight for the treatment to the victims, he said, “The nation will remember with respect the example you have set by sacrifice, morale and compassion in times of crisis.”
In the meantime, many doctors, police, journalists, nurses, technologists, field administration officials have lost their lives. Wishing forgiveness and peace to their souls, the Bridges Minister said the nation needs to continue fighting in this crisis with a strong morale. “The Sheikh Hasina government is by your side,” he added.
