Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said preparations are underway to take this year's SSC and HSC exams in a shorter format. If it is not possible to take the exam in person, the government will consider alternative ways.
The minister came up with the comments while speaking to reporters after a discussion meeting on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's release day at the National Press Club on Sunday.
"We made final preparations to open educational institutions, but we were forced to revised the decision due to the increase of corona infection," she said. There are still preparations to open educational institutions. However, when the Corona situation comes under control, schools, colleges will be opened and teaching activities will restart.
"We are trying to take this year's SSC and HSC exams in a short syllabus," she said. If that is not possible, alternatives are being considered. That is why we are continuing the education system in an alternative way. Students are getting the opportunity to study through TV, online and assignments.
The Education Minister also said that various steps are being taken to overcome the damage being done to the education system due to the closure of educational institutions.
