Gold prices hiking again in country

The price of gold is being increased again in Bangladesh due to the increase in the price in the global market. At the same time, the future price of gold has been informed.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has confirmed that the new price will be effective from Sunday.
In this phase, the price of gold is increasing by Tk 2,041 per bhori. As per that, the price of 22-carat bhori (11.664 grams) of gold has increased to Tk 73,484.
Earlier, gold prices were hiked just before Eid, on May 10 by BAJUS, on the “pretext of the shutdown of international flights” due to the COVID pandemic. During that, gold prices increased by Tk 2,333 per bhori.
With that, the price of 22-carat gold (11.664 grams) was fixed at Tk 71,443, 21-carat gold at Tk 68,293, 18-carat gold at Tk 59,544 and traditional gold at Tk 49,022. Currently, the gold is being sold in the country’s market at this price.
