Gold bars worth Tk 3.2 crore recovered at Shahjalal

A Preventive Team of Dhaka Customs House detained a man with 45 gold bars, weighing over five kgs at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday night.
According to the passport, the detainee is Abul Khayer, hailing from Cumilla.
The officials detained him after he landed at the airport from Saudi Arabia on flight SV 804 around 11:00 pm Wednesday.
The customs officials searched his luggage and recovered the gold bars around 11:00 pm, said a press release issued by Dhaka Custom House. The value of the gold is around Tk 3.2 crore.
A case has been filed with the police station to take legal action against the detained passenger.
