A new surprise in the county’s market in the New Year! All the gold prices are being increased in the country, keeping pace with the international market.

In this, the highest amount of gold price has increased upto Tk 1,166 per bhori or 11.664 grams, said Bangladesh Jewelers Samity (Bajus) in a statement on Tuesday.

According to a press release on Tuesday, Bajus’s new rates will be effective from Wednesday, business body leaders said.

According to the new price, 21-carat gold price has been increased to Tk 46,656 per bhori, which was Tk 45, 198 per bhori and 18-carat gold price to Tk 41, 640 per bhori from Tk 40, 124 per bhori.

However, the traditional gold and silver prices are unchanged.

Bajus said, “According to the new price, every bhori (11.664 grams) has been priced at Tk 48,988, which is good quality, i.e. 22-carat gold. The price of 21- carat is Tk 46,656 and 18-carat is worth Tk 41,640.”

On the other hand, the gold price of traditional gold has remained unchanged. The current price has been fixed at Tk 27,585. It costs 21-carat silver (cadmium) at Tk 1,505.
