Global coronavirus death toll exceeds 1.1m

The death toll from coronavirus tops 1,103,661 and the number of infections exceeds 39,224,265 across the globe, according to worldometer. However, a total of 29,407,051 have recovered from the virus.
The United States is the most affected nation by the deadly coronavirus having 8,216,906 people infected with the virus. Of these, 222,727 have died in the country.
Brazil, the Latin American country has the second-highest number of deaths from coronavirus. The death toll rose to 152,513. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 5,170,996.
India is in the second position in the context of coronavirus infection and at third in the context of deaths after the United States and Brazil. The death toll in India rose to 112,214 and the number of coronavirus cases has risen to 7,372,394.
The coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China in December 2019. In the country of origin, 85,646 people have been infected so far. Of these, 4,634 people have died.
