Girls ahead in GPA-5, boys in pass rate in Chattogram
Although female candidates were more than male in SSC and equivalent examinations under Chattogram Board this year but boys are ahead in pass rate while the girls are ahead in getting GPA-5.
Controller of Examinations of the Board of Education Narayan Chandra Nath came up with this information on Sunday.
A total of 1,44,096 candidates took part in SSC examinations in 196 centres under the Chattogram Education Board. Of these, 1,21,888 candidates have passed. Of them, 55,839 are male students and 66,039 are female students.
The pass rate for boys is 84.93 per cent against 84.60 per cent of girls. So, the boys are ahead in the pass rate by 0.33 per cent.
A total of 9,008 students achieved GPA-5, which is the highest in the last five years. Of them, 4,245 are boys and 4,776 are girls.
