Gambia's Attorney General and Justice Minister Abubakar Tambadou praised Bangladesh for providing shelter to Myanmar's minority Muslim Rohingya refugee.

Abubakar Tambadou prised Bangladesh when he met with a Rohingya delegation at The Hague in Netherlands after announcing four interim directives issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to Myanmar over Rohingya genocide.

Justice Abubakar Tambadou said Bangladesh contributed to verdict of International Court of Justice (ICJ). He also expressed his gratitude to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Earlier on Thursday, ICJ ordered to implement a four-point directive against Myanmar to stop Rohingya genocide and protect them in Rakhine. The order was given in the hearing of a case filed by The Gambia on the Rohingya genocide.

"We are grateful to Bangladesh for their support to the Rohingya," Tambadu said. We hope their support will continue. He also expressed optimism for changing the lives of the Rohingya people.
