Freedom fighters’ certificates of 30 more cancelled

The Government has cancelled the freedom fighters' certificates of 30 more people.
As per the recommendation of the Jatiyo Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka), the freedom fighters' certificates has been revoked as there was no evidence to support their participation in the liberation war.
A gazette notification has been issued in this regard on October 18. The recommendation has been made in the 68th meeting of Jamuka.
Among the freedom fighters whose certificates have been revoked are - Cumilla's late Sadeq Ali and Abdul Gafur Azad; Chandpur's Md Shafiqur Rahman Hawlader, Md Fayez Ullah Khan, Md Nazrul Islam, Md Khalilur Rahman and Mrinal Kanti Saha; Narayanganj's Md Tara Miah, Md Nurul Islam, late Md A Jalil and Md A Hakim.
Besides, the certificates of Jashore's late Amulya Ratan Biswas, Moulvibazar's Uttam Das, Magura's Md Ful Miah, Nilphamari's Md GM Zulfiqar, Jamalpur's AKM Fazlul Haque, Narsingdi's A Hai, Chapainawabganj's Late Md Ishaq Miah, Naogaon's Md Anisur Rahman, Md Anisur Rahman Khan and Md Khorshed Ali, Kurigram's Md Ramzan Ali and late Ahid Ali Mandal, Pabna's Md Hossain Ali, Md Azizul Haque, Md Muktar Hossain, Md Ismail Hossain and Natore's Md Samser Ali and Md Mumtaz Ali have also been cancelled.
Earlier in July, the government cancelled the gazette of 134 freedom fighters. Besides, the certificates of 1,181 freedom fighters, who were gazetted while joining the Air Force and BGB, have been cancelled on June 7.
