Fourth person has died from new virus: China

China authorities said on Tuesday that an 89-year-old has died of the new mysterious virus that the Chinese health researchers named as coronavirus becoming the fourth one to die from the virus. 

The man died on Sunday after experiencing breathing difficulties in Wuhan, the city at the center of the outbreak that has infected more than 200 people, the local health commission said in a statement. 

China’s National Health Commission confirmed on Monday that two cases of infection found in Guangdong province due to human-to-human transmission.

At least 15 medical workers in Wuhan have also been infected from the virus, where one’s condition is critical, said Wuhan Municipal Health Commission in a separate statement. 

All of them are being kept in isolation while being treated, the statement also said. 

Noted that China confirmed 218 cases of the virus in China while some cases have also been identified abroad - two in Thailand, one in Japan, and another in South Korea.

They recently returned from Wuhan.
