Former CU VC Prof Nuruddin dies of coronavirus

Former Vice Chancellor of Chattogram University Prof AJM Nuruddin Chowdhury has died of coronavirus at 80-year-old at the United Hospital in Dhaka around 8pm on Saturday.
Prof SM Monirul Hasan, acting registrar of the university, confirmed the matter.
Nuruddin was a former professor of Marketing Department at the CU. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.
He served as the Vice Chancellor of Chattogram University from 2002 to 2006, the twelfth VC of the university. Mr. Chowdhury was also the founding president of the marketing department, the former dean of the business administration department and the provost of the hall. Finally, he served as the Vice Chancellor of the Southern University.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Jamiatul Falah Mosque in Chattogram on Sunday after Asr prayers, said Mohammad Jabed Hossain, the president of the marketing department of CU.
