Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has called off his scheduled two-day visit to India. However, it was not known why the tour was postponed.

The minister was scheduled to leave for India’s Capital on Thursday. Diplomatic sources said that there would be a new date of the visit.

The Foreign Minister’s three-day visit was scheduled to attend the Indian Ocean Rim Association conference. Abdul Momen was also expected to meet with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi. The meeting of the two ministers was on the agenda for NRC (National Citizenship of Assam in the northeastern state of India), the purchase of military equipment, and the installation of radar at sea level.
