Foreign Minister to visit USA

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today said he will leave for Washington on Monday night for a three-day visit.
The foreign minister told that to reporters at his office on Monday afternoon.
Dr Momen said he will have series of meetings including one with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 24 (Bangladesh time).
"We want to develop solid relations with the USA. We will have broad discussion regarding the new US administration. They have given a new foreign policy. As an independent sovereign country, Bangladesh is very important geopolitically here. We will highlight the issues to them." Dr Momen said.
