Fire in Mumbai shopping mall, 2 firemen injured

A fire broke out in a mall in the Nagpada area of Mumbai around 9 pm on Thursday. The fire service could not bring the fire under control till Friday morning.

The Times of India reported that a fire broke out on the ground floor of the City Center Mall around 9 pm on Thursday. The fire later spread to the second and third floors of the building. Fire service personnel came to the spot around 2:30 am.

A total of 250 fire service personnel are working to bring the fire under control. In addition, at least 24 fire engines are being used.

So far two fire personnel were injured. They have been admitted to the hospital.

Three and a half thousand people have been evacuated from the City Center Mall for safety.
