Fire hits at Dhamalkot slum

A fire broke out at Dhamalkot slum in Bhasantek area of capital's Mirpur. Ten units of fire service have brought the fire under control 45 minutes later.

The incident took place on Thursday evening.

Rozina Akhter, a duty officer of the fire service headquarters, told Daily Bangladesh that the fire broke out at Dhamalkot slum No. 3 at 6.40 pm. 10 units brought the fire under control at 7:25 pm. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not known. No casualties have been reported yet.
