Fire broke out at Munshiganj

A mesh factory, 'Hena Fishing Net', in an industrial city of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) of Munshiganj was caught fire around 4:00 am on Sunday, causing the loss of property estimated Tk sixty crore.
However, 4 fire-fighting units brought the blaze under control around 07:00 am.
There was no report of casualties as of yet but the owners said that the damage was estimated at Tk 60 crore as the goods, machine, materials of the factory were gutted in the fire.
Meanwhile, a firefighter named Abu Yusuf was injured in the firefighting operation. He was admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital.
According to the witnesses, said the factory suddenly was caught fire in the morning while the workers were working inside. No casualties were reported as workers were able to get out as soon as the fire broke out.
Chan Mia, the factory manager, said that that it was not yet possible to say specifically about the cause of the fire right now. Goods worth Tk 60 crore, including raw materials for the factory's machines and nets were gutted in the fire.
