Fire breaks out at knitting factory in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a knitting factory in Gazipur on Monday afternoon Four units of firefighters brought the blaze under control after an effort of about a quarter of an hour.
Deputy assistant director of Jaydevpur Fire Service Abdul Hamid Miah, said that the fire broke out in the shirt collar section of Siddique Knitwear Limited factory located in Gazipur City Corporation. Locals and factory workers tried to put out the fire but failed.
After being informed, four units of Jaydevpur Fire Service Station reached the spot. After trying for about a quarter of an hour, they were able to bring the fire under control. It is reported that various goods including five machines for making factory shirt collars were burnt, however, no one was injured in the incident. Casualty, reason of the fire and damage could not be known immediately.
