Fire in Cox`s Bazar hospital brought under control

A fire broke out at Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital and has been brought under control by firefighters after 60 minutes of it ravaging the area though the fourth floor of the hospital remained covered with smoke.
However, the panicked hospital staff, patients and their relatives were seen running here and there during the incident. The incident took place at 5:15 pm on Wednesday as a total of two units of the fire service operated at the scene on fire control.
Hospital staffs said that the fire started the store room and the patients have been shifted to nearby private hospitals. It is reported that no casualties has reported in the incident yet. The power supply of the entire hospital has been disconnected to avoid any damage.
Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service Md. Abdullah said that the fire has been brought under control. It was not yet possible to say specifically about the cause of the fire right now.
