Confirming the matter to the media, film actor Omar Sani said, “Nasiruddin Dilu had been suffering from various diseases due to old age including heart for a long time. His condition worsened two days ago. He was later admitted to United Hospital. He died around 10:00 am today while undergoing treatment there.”
“Dilu brother was a very good man. He has produced about 15-20 movies. Those movies were successful and acclaimed. By serving as a member of the censor board, he has enhanced the pride of our film industry,” he also said.
Omar Sani further said that his death is a great loss for the country’s film industry. “It’s as painful as losing one of our guardians. Everyone in the industry knows that Dilu loved me and Mausumi like a child. The news of his death brought grief to my family,” he added.
Nasiruddin Dilu has produced more than 15 films. But his role as an organizer was even brighter. He has been leading the Bangladesh Film Producers and Environment Association for a long time. He also served as president twice in a row.
Nasiruddin Dilu worked as a member of the censor board. The producer leader was working relentlessly from behind even during the difficult times of the film industry. He has acted as the Election Commissioner in the election of various organizations related to the film.
